Over the last 2 years myself Susan French, Thomas Daly, Fergus O Carroll parks dept and DCC have been in talks on how to improve Darndale Park its playing pitches which was finished earlier in the year and the Astro surface well today is the day we received the NEWS that we thought would never come. WE have got our new Astro and it will be installed before Christmas. Fergus O Carroll met myself and Thomas in Darndale Pk in lashing rain walked the pk with us and knocked us out by saying he would do everything in his power to help and help he did.
We are over the moon by this. This will be a great for the community, Darndale Schools, Sphere 17, Jigsaw Centre, Darndale Sports and Recreation centre will all be able to use it alongeside Darndale FC.
